About
Caycee Zimmerman is a Community Safety Advisor with the City of Kelowna, where she leads initiatives to enhance the safety and well-being of residents and visitors alike. As the Secretariat and implementation project lead for Kelowna’s first-ever Community Safety Plan, Caycee leverages her broad experience and a professional designation in Crime Prevention Through Environmental Design (CPTED) to bring a flexible, holistic approach to her work. Every day, she integrates CPTED principles into her strategies, using thoughtful planning and design to reduce crime and promote safer, more welcoming public spaces across the city.
Caycee’s passion for community safety began during her service as an Auxiliary RCMP Constable, a formative volunteer experience that inspired her to pursue a career in local government. While her journey did not follow the usual route into municipal service, her dedication to volunteering and to making a meaningful difference has been invaluable in her current role. Through her leadership and innovative application of CPTED, Caycee continues to champion programs and initiatives that build a safer, more connected Kelowna community.
