Dino Heckermann has 30 years of law enforcement experience. He began his career in 1989 with a suburban police department northwest of Chicago; he proudly served in many positions, including school resource officer, crime prevention, gang tactical, and a police patrol Sergeant, and retired in 2018.

Dino attended both Judson University, earning a managerial leadership Bachelor of Science degree, and National Louis University, earning a Master of Science degree in organizational leadership. He completed police executive leadership development training at Northwestern University Staff and Command.

He is an experienced police academy instructor, authentic public speaker, and professional community affairs specialist in providing security surveys, with a professional designation in Crime Prevention Through Environmental Design (C.P.T.E.D.) from the National Institute of Crime Prevention.

His experience includes Spanish fluency, corporate security, and executive protection for celebrities and national and international dignitaries with threat assessments.
