Scott Bakka is a security consultant who specializes in providing security services to houses of worship, nonprofits, and schools. Security services include; threat, vulnerability, and risk assessments, security system planning and design, project management, active shooter survival training, workplace violence prevention planning, creating security policies and procedures, and security grant writing. He has over 30 years of experience in physical security, operational security, emergency management planning, and organizational improvement initiatives. He retired in 2020 from the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms & Explosives (ATF) as the Chief, Security and Emergency Programs Division. He is a Certified Protection Professional (CPP) with the American Society for Industrial Security (ASIS) International, a Certified School Security Assessment Specialist and a Certified Security Assessment Specialist with the American Crime Prevention Institute (ACPI), and a Certified Active Shooter Survival Instructor with the A.L.I.V.E Active Shooter Survival Program. He also has a Crime Prevention Through Environmental Design (CPTED) Professional with the National Institute of Crime Prevention (NICP). In addition, he has a master's degree in Security Management from Webster University and a Bachelor of Science in Economics from the University of Maryland University College. He is also a veteran of the United States Army.
