Billings MT

I have been a Government Relations Specialist with KLJ for 6 1/2 years. I have been directly involved in identifying and applying for several grants and loans for projects throughout the State of Montana, and have over 30 years of experience in grant writing, public relations, meeting facilitation and government liaison work. I am a trained group facilitator and mediator, becoming a Certified Professional Facilitator in 2019. I added CPTED Certification to my resume in 2021. I haveĀ used these skills , in conjunction with knowledge about community planning, to develop partnerships that aid communities in successful planning and accessing critical funding and community resources to be successful.

My true passion is working with coalitions and community agencies to ensure systems, and the people in those systems, work effectively together to meet the needs of individuals/families they serve. I am the current government and business liaison for the Yellowstone County Substance Abuse CONNECT Coalition and work with that group to address public safety issues specifically related to substance abuse and mental illness. I have spent my entire career advocating across systems for better collaborative and more comprehensive efforts to address substance abuse, mental illness, and critical community infrastructure as a means to reduce crime and promote public safety. CPTED is a natural fit for this ongoing effort.
