Matthew Olsen

Matthew Olsen has been a Deputy District Attorney for the Solano County District Attorney’s Office since 2005. During his career as a prosecutor he has tried numerous misdemeanor and felony jury trials, as well as grand jury indictments. He has also held a variety of assignments including Misdemeanors, Juvenile, Family Violence, General Felonies, Prison Prosecutions, Career Criminal Prosecutions, Civil Asset Forfeiture and Consumer/Environmental Crimes. Since 2016, he has been assigned as Solano County’s Community Prosecutor where his mission statement is to develop proactive partnerships between the District Attorney’s Office, law enforcement and community organizations in an ongoing effort to improve public safety and enhance the quality of life for all members of the community. DDA Olsen is a member of the California State Bar Association, admitted to practice in the United States District Court for the Central District of California and holds a Bachelor of Science degree from the University of California at Los Angeles, as well as a Jurisdoctor degree from Chapman University School of Law.
