Shanah is a fourth generation born and raised San Diegan. Following in her Grandfather's footsteps, she has worked for the SD County Sheriff's Department for the last 24 years. Twenty of those in patrol, one year in corrections, and the last three years as a Crime Prevention Specialist at the Lemon Grove station.

Her current job consists of security assessments at schools, churches, business' and residences as well as acting as a liaison between the community and law enforcement. Conducting presentations to the public on a variety of topics such as fraud, theft, burglary and the importance of maintaining a strong Neighborhood Watch program.
