D Joshua Troxell, MPS-HLS, CPP, CPD, is a Sr. Regional Security Consultant at First Citizens Bank and Trust in Raleigh, NC.   His current responsibilities include: protecting the employees, customers and assets of First Citizens Bancshares through the administration of all aspects of physical security for financial centers, operations centers, office buildings and other large or densely staffed corporate facilities; mentoring other FCB Security Consultants concerning physical security risks; recommend standard and nonstandard countermeasures based on experience, sound industry standards, risk and cost versus reward, and direct the implementation thereof; designing and overseeing the installation of security systems and countermeasures for construction and renovation projects; and, serving as a technical consultant and subject matter expert regarding security methodologies, technology, policies, procedures, and industry standards.

Josh is a 2012 graduate of Geneva College with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Human Resources.  In 2014, Josh also obtained a Master's Degree in Homeland Security - Public Health Preparedness from the Penn State College of Medicine at Hershey Medical Center.  He has been with First Citizens Bank for 3 years in the Corporate Security department.  Prior to his time at FCB, Josh worked for Penn State University with roles in Environmental Health & Safety, College of Engineering Safety, Security & Emergency Management Coordinator, and as the University-wide Access Manager for Physical Security under University Police & Public Safety.  Prior to that, Josh served as a submarine volunteer in the US Navy as a Nuclear Machinist Mate, Engineering Laboratory Technician specializing in nuclear chemistry and radiological controls.

Josh has been active in his community, serving as an elected Township Supervisor for Patton Township, a volunteer EMT, firefighter, fire police, hazardous materials technician, and various all-hazards incident management team positions at a local and state-regional level.  He is a member of the Order of the Sword & Shield Professional Honor Society, and a member of ASIS International, obtaining his ASIS Certified Protection Professional (CPP) certification in 2019.  Josh Received his CPTED Professional designation in 2022.
