CPTED Strategic Advisory Services

CPTED Strategic Advisory Services

The NICP Advisory Services program provides organizations with direct access to over three decades of practical Crime Prevention Through Environmental Design (CPTED) experience through focused advisory sessions led by Art Hushen.

These sessions are designed to assist local governments, planning professionals, development stakeholders, and public safety agencies in strengthening public safety outcomes through planning policy, development review practices, zoning considerations, and environmental design principles.

Each engagement combines strategic guidance, applied CPTED principles, policy discussion, case study analysis, and collaborative standards development tailored to the organization’s operational environment and objectives

A Collaborative Approach to Safer Communities

As communities continue to address concerns related to public safety, quality of life, redevelopment, and resilience, organizations increasingly require integrated approaches that align planning, development, and public safety objectives.

CPTED principles provide evidence-based strategies that help reduce opportunities for crime and disorder through environmental design, land use planning, visibility, access control, territorial reinforcement, maintenance, supporting CPTED strategies, and activation of public spaces.

NICP Advisory Services are designed to help organizations evaluate challenges, explore opportunities, and develop practical implementation strategies that can be incorporated into future projects, policies, and operations.
