Frank LoSacco
East Brunswick Police
Chief Frank LoSacco serves as the Department Head for the East Brunswick Police Department, he oversees East Brunswick Emergency Medical Services (EMS), and he serves as the Deputy Coordinator for the East Brunswick Office of Emergency Management (OEM). Chief LoSacco began working for East Brunswick Township in 1987 as a Special Police Officer. Upon being hired as a Patrolman in 1996, he attended the Somerset County Police Academy and was assigned to the Patrol Division.
He was assigned to the Community Policing Unit from 2003 to 2008, serving in the Investigative and Administrative Divisions. After being promoted to Sergeant in August of 2009, he served as the Administrative Division supervisor and as a squad supervisor in the Patrol Section.
Chief LoSacco was promoted to Lieutenant in 2011 and served as a Watch Commander in the Patrol Division. He holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Management Science from Kean College and Master of Arts degree in Educational Administration and Supervision from Seton Hall University. He is a graduate of the New Jersey State Association of Chiefs of Police "West Point Command and Leadership" Academy and he currently serves as an instructor in this prestigious program. Chief LoSacco became a Certified Public Manager after attending the Rutgers University School of Public Affairs and Administration CPM program in 2018 and he was awarded “Accredited Chief Executive Advanced” (ACE-COP Advanced) accreditation by the New Jersey State Association of Chiefs of Police in 2020.
Chief LoSacco has served as the agency's Recruitment Officer, a Field Training Officer, the department's Range Master, a Police SCUBA Diver, and as an instructor for the Somerset County Police Academy, the Middlesex County Police Training Center, and the New Jersey Juvenile Justice Commission Academy. Chief LoSacco was elected to several terms as a PBA State Delegate and as the SOA President. He has also served as Adjunct Professor of Criminal Justice for Rutgers University and Middlesex, Mercer, and Morris County Colleges. He has received numerous Letters of Commendation as well as a 200 Club Award.
